Truly, cake balls at weddings are the perfect pair! If you recently engaged (congrats!) or just helping plan a wedding, this post is for you! We've done several weddings and thought we'd share three easy tips for those still in the planning phase!
First up - Plan a budget. It's easy to get carried away when wedding planning, because why not?? It's your wedding! But, sitting down and creating a budget before you get started can help keep costs under control. It's also helpful to us to know what you've set aside for cake/dessert. The great part about cake balls is that there are several ways we can present the cake balls to fit your budget! From platters to tiered displays to cake ball cakes - all are stunning and allow for the maximum amount of flexibility.
Second - Think about your guest list! We generally recommend 2-3 cake balls per guest, so to help decide what size of display you'll need, we need to know roughly how many people are invited. But don't stress too much - an approximate is just fine! If your in-laws just happen to invite 50 more guests than you originally planned for, don't worry! We can easily add on cake ball platters till up to about a month before your actual wedding. And because you can order cake bites by the exact number, there is little to no waste! If for some reason, the guest's don't eat 'em all (don't count on this!!), Cake Bites freeze well for up to a month! Talk about the perfect treats in the freezer to welcome you back from your honeymoon.
Lastly - It's not too early to start planning! Cake Bites books out up to 12 months in advance so feel free to stop by for your free consultation sooner rather than later. For a small deposit, we can hold your date for you. If you are still working out the colors and decor for the wedding, no problem! We need that information just a few months before your actual wedding day.
We know wedding planning can be stressful. Our goal is to make the cake portion as easy, tasty, and stress-free as possible. Bring us your vision and let Cake Bites take care of the rest!
